Questions people ask first
Does Foliata work without internet?
Yes. Recognition runs on the phone. Download a region pack for your country once and every plant card, photo and care note is on the device, so the forest, the trail and the garden all work with no signal.
Do my photos leave the phone?
Not by default. If the phone cannot name a plant and you are online, one photograph can go to our server for a second opinion and is dropped as soon as the answer comes back. That is a switch in settings, and it is off until you turn it on.
What is free and what is Premium?
Three identifications a day are free, forever, along with the herbarium. Premium removes the daily limit and unlocks the full plant cards: $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year, both with a 3-day free trial.
Which plants does it know?
Flowers, trees, shrubs, weeds and common houseplants. Look-alike species sit side by side on the card so you can tell them apart yourself. The app speaks 47 languages with common plant names for each.
Is it on Android?
The Android version is the same app and is in Google Play review right now. The App Store version is live.
